The Lord Is Our Righteousness

Jeremiah 33:14-16

New Living Translation (NLT)
14 “The day will come, says the Lord, when I will do for Israel and Judah all the good things I have promised them.
15 “In those days and at that time
I will raise up a righteous descendant[a] from King David’s line.
He will do what is just and right throughout the land.
16 In that day Judah will be saved,
and Jerusalem will live in safety.
And this will be its name:
      ‘The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’

Thought for the Day
Advent, a time of preparing. For some Advent may be a time of preparing for celebration with family and friends with little thought to the significant meaning of the season. When we look deeper into it's meaning we become aware that this is a time of preparing our lives to receive God's greatest gift, the gift of His Son who comes to offer us the gift of salvation. May each of us receive the good things He has promised as we welcome the Christ Child into our hearts.
Today's ADVENTure
Spend at least five minutes in silence as you attempt to understand the nature of you preparation.
